When selecting a path it is not possible to tell which path I had selected until after timer expired. See link to screen shots below. Same when removing an arrow. Arrow remains on screen until timer expires.

My suggestion is: when selecting one out of multiple paths, either highlight the selection or remove the others, leaving only my selection.

Arrows removed should disappear from screen immediately.

OR have an UNDO option.
