HOW DOES SEASON OF RAIN AND SPLENDOR WORK? One water or sun —depending on the Season—is added on top of each of the three available Park cards at the start of the Season. When a player Visits or Reserves a Park with a token on top, the player also gains the token. The token may even be used immediately toward the Park or in a Canteen.
I visited Theodore Roosevelt National Park which had water on it. It immediately spent 1 Forest, 1 Mountain, 1 Wild to visit this. It did NOT let me fill a canteen BEFORE choosing which resources to visit Theodore Roosevelt with. -

"Prompt for reserve/visit/buy prevents me from filling canteens"
changed to
"Cannot use resource gained from park to fill a canteen the gain resource to pay for park"
1) You moved to the trail space that allows you to reserve a park. You gained a sun by moving there.
2) You want to visit a park that has a rain token on it. Visiting the park will grant you the rain token.
2a. As the rules say, you can even use that rain token to help pay for the park. Or you can later use it in a canteen on that same turn.
2b. You're hoping to use it in a canteen, even though you haven't paid for the park yet. Then you're hoping to use what you gain from the canteen to pay for the park. This doesn't work because you haven't paid for the park yet.
2c. You can use the water to offset the price of a park you're visiting. Or, once you've paid for the park, you can use the water in a canteen. You can't just gain the water, play with it all turn, then come back and pay for the park at the end of your turn. Sorry.
3) You visited the park and gained the rain token. You paid for the park.
4) You used the rain token to fill a canteen.
This all looks correct.
