As i understand, coding exceeding resource caps warnings, is difficult in some cases therefore it is not implemented. (Note: It could be easier for conversions, final step of science track etc. but difficult if required to calculate the future income (possible trigger is pass button) However game board should show maximum Resource Caps.
1) Best place to as a Graphic could be in Round Board & Tiles Tab. There seems to be ample amount of space
2) If you need to use Game Graphics and it is not possible to create a new design then second best option is under Player names with Resource Summary Perhaps as 3/15, 5/30.... -

Thanks for the fun implementation.
"The resource cap is the same in every game for every faction. It isn't the sort of thing where you might need a reminder as to what it is in this particular game.
- The resource display already has the current value and income. Adding the cap adds clutter, and there isn't a good spot to put it, especially since it will be difficult to achieve good contrast with the background (note, for example, the ore symbol has a white background with a black border).
- This is the sort of game that people tend to play a lot. Half of BGA players who play Gaia Project have gone on to play it again, 20% will play it it at least five times, and 10% at least ten; and since the game just entered beta, I expect those numbers will rise over time. (Compare PARKS, where only one in three players will go on to play a second game, and less than 10% will play five times.) For a game like Gaia Project, it makes the most sense to optimize the UI for expert players, even at the expense of some confusion for newer players."
For me, the biggest obstacle is the second. We're already displaying two numbers on each resource.
