Fair enough, I was playing on desktop and it seemed quick. I haven't tried on mobile, which is where I anticipate issues with accidentally selecting the wrong thing.

I agree. With 'welcome to' you get 10 seconds, which I would say is quite generous. I would say anything between 5 an 10 seconds would be suitable:)

Please consider providing an option to remove the countdown timer entirely, as is available in almost every other game with a timer. As a developer, you have spent a lot of time with this game, so it is difficult to put yourself in the shoes of someone who has never played or used this interface before, for whom these timers can be stressful and confusing, especially when they're this short.
I have been vocal in my opposition to end turn confirmation timers on BGA since they first starting becoming prominent about 10 months ago, purportedly as a compromise with the BGA guidelines. See this thread for my full argument: boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=16770

If the first second is not visible, it cannot count in the reaction time, which is only 3 seconds. Such a short delay makes the confirmation virtually unusable, and therefore unnecessary.
I propose to let each player decide the confirmation time by a time in seconds between 0 and 100 seconds, or by a discrete choice between 0, 5, 10, 20, 40 and 80 seconds.
However, when a player is expected to confirm his turn, the confirmation should be interrupted just before a player becomes out of time.

As seems to be typical of this site in general, in my experience, once again something known as Turn-Based seems to be very misunderstood.
In Turn-Based play on this game, that timer is completely and utterly useless, along with frustrating and annoying. No one is waiting on me, so what possible difference could it make?
This is the first game I've played with a timed end turn confirmation. Every turn it has timed out before I have had any chance to react to it and click on it. Even once I'm more used to the game, I should not have to rush to beat it -- if I wanted timer stress I'd play real time.
I also totally agree with paramesis, and read that linked thread, and well written as well. The best point in the thread is that real-time games already have a timer going. And for turn-based it's useless.

I would prefer to fasten the game, so please give each player a personal option to disable it for the whole game. Or even better implement a game option to disable it for all players (at least in games with the "fast game" option).

I was incredibly shocked to see this timer at all, as I almost exclusively play things in turn-based mode. I vote to at minimum have an option to remove this entirely and, if the timer must persist in existing, increase it to a minimum of 10 seconds.
