I'm working on the hungarian translation of the game and I found it very hard, because the game uses the "ALIVE CATS" and "Alive Cats" texts in every context.
This doesn't bother anyone in english, but the hungarian grammar is more complex. (Sadly ><)
For example:
cat = macska (that's fine)
cats = macskák
2 cats = 2 macska
dead = halott
alive = elő
I count = számolok
I bid = licitálok
I count 2 Dead Cats = 2 Halott Macskát számolok
(this is hard to translte, because I can't swap the word order and the game use the "Dead Cats" text, witch needs to be translated to "Élő Macska" because of other contexts)
I bid 2 Alive Cats = Licitálok 2 Élő Macskára
I need to use more forms of the word "Macska", but it'a actually impossible to do it fine with the current mechanism.
So please try to make the texts more flexible. -

If I were the developer, I would not know how to solve this with the information in this post.
At the moment, the game use translateable texts like:
"I count ${bid_type}!"
"I bid"
"Empty Boxes"
"Dead Cats"
"Alive Cats"
The "I bid" is used in this format:
"I bid" + [a number] + "Empty Boxes" or "Dead Cats" or "Alive Cats"
So the final text is: "I bid 5 Dead Cats"
As I said before, the "Dead Cats" text is used in other parts of the game as well... so it must be translated into other forms too.
As I saw in other games in BGA, they often use texts where only the numbers are changing.
In this game, it would be better to use...
"I bid ${bid-number} Alive Cats!"
"I bid ${bid-number} Dead Cats!"
"I bid ${bid-number} Empty Boxes!"
It would change the whole structure of the game, I guess, and they should make 3 text from 1 to do this.
But in this way, the text would be way more flexible for other languages as well.
And the same with "I count ${bid_type}!" (and with other texts)
It would be better to use more texts, like:
"I count ${number} Alive Cats!"
"I count ${number} Dead Cats!"
"I count ${number} Empty Boxes!"
I hope it's more clear from now. O:)
"I bid ${amount} ${type}"?
Sadly it wouldn't.
The problem is still with the {type}
Or.. maybe if that type's string would be individual.
It wouldn't make sense in english.. because there would be 3 or more "Alive Cats" / "Dead Cats" / "Empty Boxes" strings, with the same format. But in hungarian these should be formed in other ways. Because we format actually the word. (With a whole different logic than the english grammar.)
I'll have to wait at least one day until BGA refreshes itself and starts using the translations.
Until this point, I can't say "It's 100% perfect", because I can't see it in action.
But seeing the "preview", I guess it will make it fine! [Around 90% :D]
