I really like this idea. I never though about automatic selection of dice. I totally agree that if there's an exact match to the dice then players should be able to automatically select them.
I think we can implement this in the same way we implemented automatic selection of defense tokens. We could give players a preference so they can choose if they want this feature.
I would say the only downside with this is that currently when you are selecting your dice, you can select another card in case you change your mind. If we make this a preference though then I don't see a problem with this.
We could also add in a preference to select any dice that are applicable. So if you want to summon a basic creature it will try to find the exact match on the blue dice first before trying to use wildcards and red dice.
