Actually, Le Barbu is different from Hearts, since you can choose the hand type and there are possibly positive hands (anti-salade and domino). Hence, there shouldn't be a reversing system of points when taking all the points.
You can have a look at all the links in the game page, none of them is considering playing this way (e.g. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbu_(card_game)), this would twist the game principles.
