I beileve the issue is that the automoderator believes chatting is systematically done in English and "retard" was the insult.
We were all French speakers with French IPs.
Auto-detection of profanity should be disabled as long as no auto-detection of language used is implemented.

"retard" is not an agressive word. It means "late" and it cannot be translated as "retarded" (the good translate will be "attardé").
