My turn was Era 1: Explore a continuous path of up to 4 mountain and/or sea spaces. My first cube was a ruin space, I received the treasure: You earn 1 more explorer, and it only let me place that 1 additional cube. I couldn't continue to place the other 3 cubes.

Thanks for reporting.
You placed the first explorer in (7:1) : you earned a treasure card which allows you an extra explorer.
You placed this extra explorer in (6:0). As this extra explorer could be placed anywhere ( and not only close to the first explorer), it is not part of the 4 explorers you can place thanks to your investigation card (Explore a continuous path of up to 4 mountain and/or sea spaces) .
You placed the next and so the second explorer in (8:1).
Then you don't have any space where to place others explorers.
But resetting turn should have resetting the last explorer you place. I will fix it.
