I think you fell into the same trap as me; basically, the hopper/queen could not pass through the gate on the upper level.

The ladybug is a jumper, and there is no gate for this kind of piece. Therefore, the ladybug can move on the red spaces on the screen shot.

With the replay, I cannot check the spaces allowed for the movement of the ladybug. However, at moves 23, 25, or 27 the ladybug could move and block the black bee, what KES777 did not do.
So, I support your bug report.

A gate is an obstacle for a piece that moves at the same level. Since the ladybug must change levels to move on the white mosquito, nothing can prevent this first movement. Then it can move on the black bee for its second move to the upper level.

If you read the link I provided, it was stated that ladybugs can be affected by gates. I would hazard a guess that is the official position unless you have proof that the creator of the game did not intend this.

If you read this link boardgamearena.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=86&t=14641 , you will see that I maintain that the movement of the ladybug can only be prevented if one step of its movement involves a slide through a gate at the upper level.
Knowing that the game situation that was the subject of your exchange cannot be consulted, I do not see any contradiction between my position and the answer you gave ringersoll.
I think moving one space can only be a jump or a slide, not both. A level change involves a jump, and the jump is free of all obstacles.
This is an important aspect of the rule that the designer should have clarified somewhere.

Report closed automatically because it has not been upvoted or commented for a while.

Your bug has probably been fixed already, or was linked to a temporary failure of BGA service.

In any case, when filling a bug report, make sure to have an explicit title linked to the incident (ex: with error message), so other players can recognize it and vote for it.
