this looks like browser problem. I have tested the game even with some older Firefox versions, what is your exact version? I have also noticed, your board is shifted, this is also a sign of old browser. I went throug the log and everything is OK, I can see two colors...
You can find information about version this way: Click the menu button , click Help and select About Firefox. Here you can also update your browser.
You can also try another browser, if it doesnt help, I will keep digging

Yes, I'm using an older browser: Firefox 48.0.2 on an iMac with OS X 10.6.8
This was the last available update for Firefox for OS X 10.6.8
I just tried Chrome version 38.0.2125.101 and went to the page that has the rules and an animated replay of a game and it displays the colors/pieces correctly, whereas before on Firefox all of the pieces were also displayed as purple.
All of the other games that I play on the site work/display fine.
thanks for specific browser version. Based on that, I released update which ensures compatibility for older Firefox browsers.
Still, I strongly recommend you to update this very old version. One thing wont be fixed for such old version - highlighting of tile selection, you will just see square instead of hex. But you will see colors properly, and board will be displayed correctly.
