The Shield was not comptabilized, first at the dice roll, then again when Cerberus was used. The other dice was the Celestial Ship, the Shield should produce the "default" resource ; it doesn't, neither does it give victory points.
I believe this is not the first time it happened, I just thought I wasn't focused. The only reason I caught it this time was because of the Cerberus.

According to the rule on page 7, a “Guardian's Shield” face provides a gain only if you get a resource from the face of the other die. Now, the face of the Celestial Ship does not provide resources. However, when the “Guardian's Shield” face is obtained with a minor blessings, this face allows to gain the resource of the lower part of the face.

There is therefore an inconsistency in the implementation that needs to be corrected. Not necessarily in the way proposed by mirlitons.

I lost two moons twice because I take 2 moon (shield) and the ship. The ship worked, but the shield didnt work.

I need to correct myself. Sounds like the shards should *not* be given in any of these cases:

- 3x and shield
- shild + shield
- ship + shield
- minor blessing

I'm not deep into the rules, but if the condition is that the other die provides resources and the shield itself does not, then none of the events above should give resources.

I'm not sure what the tool-tip says when you hoover. Might be worth looking at too.

I have just got this issue at table #100481781 with the combo shield + ship.
I don't know if the real life rule book or the game designer could be of any help. I think at the moment that the explanation while hovering over the shield is not matching the visual of the side.

The visual is telling you it is either a ressource or some VP, while the explanation mentions a condition to gain one or the other.

As almost every dice visuals is self explanatory, I would tend to give priority to give the ressource at minima and the VP if matching the conditon.

Today, my opponent got at least twice a minor blessing through a silver hind from a shield 2 sun / 5 VP. He got the 2 suns both times.
From my point of view, there is a a clear discrepancy on how the shield ressource should be given.

While it is clarified, could we get a list of how it works currently?
So far, I have witnessed:
- ship + shield = nothing for the shield,
- minor blessing on the shield = ressource of the shield.

I'll keep my eyes open for x3 and shield, as it is a combo that I often use too.
