I think the problem here is the english translation of the card and the use of the word 'respectively'. I think it means, "If you take grain seeds, get a free bake bread; or take a vegetable seeds, get a free sow action". That would have been much clearer. I suggest rewriting the card text to communicate the actual function since a dozen players plus me have all made the same reading error.

I had exactly the same problem as gerg desribed:
"I had the same thing happen to me in a turn-based game. I had the seed servant, I picked get grain, and it asked me to confirm, turn over, without getting a sow action. I searched for "seed servant" in Agricola bug reports and found about a dozen instances of the same bug: half resolved as "not-a-bug" and half pending action.
I think the problem here is the english translation of the card and the use of the word 'respectively'.
